Workshop Fun at Arbourthorne Primary School
We recently had the pleasure of delivering an afternoon of flavour, fun and learning at Arbourthorne Primary School in Sheffield, when we hosted an exciting Cookery and Activity Workshop for the pupils.
The interactive workshop was designed to introduce children to the importance of a balanced diet – with a focus on the health benefits of eating fish - and to educate them as to where their food comes from.
Pupils got hands-on in a ‘Make Your Own Wrap’ session with chef Andy Daniels, choosing from Birds Eye Fish Fingers and Green Cuisine Veggie Fingers. They also enjoyed a mini pizza tasting while completing themed colouring and activity sheets.
Meanwhile, a vibrant educational presentation helped students discover the benefits of eating fish and the role Omega-3 plays in supporting brain function and overall health. This was followed by an interactive quiz to test their new knowledge.
To round off the workshop, pupils enjoyed games and storybooks centred around the world of fishing, helping connect the food on their plate with where it comes from.
The event was a big hit with both children and teachers. We are proud to support schools across the UK with engaging workshops that inspire balanced eating habits and an interest in food from an early age.
